WEDDING INFORMATION

I am available for pre-ceremony, ceremony, and post-ceremony music (cocktails, dinner). I am flexible depending on your needs, and my prices vary accordingly. For an outline of how I approach ceremony and pre-ceremony music, please read through the following. (Post-ceremony music tends to be more lively and background-oriented, typically requiring less custom preparation and planning).

After deciding to consider Shadow Guitar for your wedding, the first step is to set up a meeting during which I will play through a variety of pieces from my repertoire. If during this meeting you decide to choose Shadow Guitar for your wedding, you may proceed to select the particular pieces of music you want for the ceremony. Occasionally however, the first meeting is nothing more than a chance to meet and to begin thinking about the type of music (or maybe a few pieces) that you may want for your ceremony. After getting a feel for the music that I offer, a second meeting would then take place during which you would select the specific songs for the various parts of your ceremony. From this point, it's all smooth sailing to the rehearsal, during which all the entrances and other music-accompanied sections will be timed in order to prepare tailored arrangements of your songs to begin and end smoothly. Then comes the big day and everything is solid, prepared, and ready to go.

The above process outlines only one of many preparation schedules. It is entirely possible to plan everything without any meetings at all, not even a rehearsal! If you can manage to choose all the music you would like from my samples, we can plan everything else through email and phone. I would usually still attend the rehearsal to run through and time everything, though I've had very successful weddings without one as well. You could also choose your songs at the rehearsal, if you had a few different songs you were undecided on. Anything is possible. The process is entirely up to you.

In regards to pricing, please understand that many factors contribute to the cost of a wedding project. The amount of music requested is the most obvious, but many other elements are considered as well, namely:

-Complexity of preparation schedule (number of meetings, inclusion of rehearsal)
-Specific requests / custom song arrangement
-Travel considerations (frequency of travel, time and gas)
-Overall time investment

Because of all the variables, listing wedding package prices here is simply not practical. I can say that a wedding price is usually between $350 - $650, though I've had weddings cost more and less. I will be more than happy to give you an estimate based on some basic information. For a general price quote, please email me with the following:

-Date and location of wedding
-Amount of playing desired: pre-ceremony / ceremony / post-ceremony music
-Thoughts on the planning schedule & your city of residence
-Inclusion/exclusion of rehearsal meeting
-Any special requests or songs (I can arrange almost anything)
